OPA Director Invites the Public to the NCODeL 2022 in Radyo Pilipinas Interview

In a segment in Radyo Pilipinas last 15 October 2022, University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Office of Public Affairs (OPA) Director, Dr. Myra C. Almodiel, had the opportunity to promote the 7th National Conference on Open and Distance eLearning (NCODeL 2022) in an interview with Tess Ramirez.     

This year’s conference will be held virtually on 23-25 November 2022. Dr. Almodiel explained that the NCODeL had been consistently conducted every two years by the UPOU since 1999, where different educational institutions share their ideas, experiences, and best practices in an online setting. The conference is open to administrators, teachers, scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. There will also be a subsequent student colloquium session where learners can present their research and experiences. 

Dr. Almodiel mentioned that NCODeL 2022 is organized by UPOU In partnership with the Philippine Society for Distance Learning (PSDL), UPOU Foundation, Inc., (UPOUFI), and the Consortium of Open Distance Education Providers in the Philippines (CODEPP). CODEPP  members include Benguet State University (BSU), Cavite State University (CSU), Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), Ifugao State University (ISU), Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), and the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU).

In addition to her public invitation, Dr. Almodiel also explained the background of UPOU and what it offers for the radio listeners interested in joining the University. Dr. Almodiel expressed that the University conducts various short courses and programs to support the education of Filipino people and international students who want to be a part of the academe.
