UPOU Officials Speak at CSC 2024 Leaders and HR Symposium

Three of the UP Open University officials joined the Civil Service Commission 2024 Leaders and HR Symposium (LHRS) as concurrent speakers. The CSC 2024 LHRS carried the theme “Adapt Beyond Limits.” The hybrid event was held on 24-25 September 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City, and online.

Dr. Joane V. Serrano, Dean of the UPOU Faculty of Management and Development Studies, discussed “Inclusive Leadership and Social Adaptability.” Dr. Finaflor F. Taylan, Director of the UPOU Office of Gender Concerns and UPOU Program Development Associate for Extension, tackled “GEDSI Initiatives in Building Socially Resilient Communities.” Lastly, Dr. Roberto B. Figueroa, Jr., Program Director for Immersive Open Pedagogy (IOP) and Deputy Director for Open and Digital Learning Research (ODLR) under the UPOU Center for Open and Digital Teaching and Learning (CODTL) shared about “Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality and Their Applications in the Different Fields.”

The CSC 2024 LHR Symposium featured five plenary sessions and 24 concurrent sessions. Invited speakers include esteemed leaders and experts from top-performing companies, brands, and communities in the Philippines, led by Atty. Aileen Lourdes A. Lizada, Commissioner, Civil Service Commission.
