The official blog site of the UP Open University (UPOU) is now public! The UPOU relaunched its official blog site, OpenUPConnect.com, this January 2018. Originally planned in 2013, the UPOU, through its Information Office, resurrected the blog, renamed it officially, and now is accessible to the public – both for perusing and contributions.
OpenUPConnect.com is part of UPOU's move to attain better visibility, attract more audience in multi platforms, and interact with its public in a more interactive and engaging manner. The entries to the blog site seek to open and unmask UPOU and its constituents further so the public will know about UPOU's ins and outs better and deeper.

OpenUPConnect.com's resurrection was an initiative aligned with UPOU's Flagship Programs @ccesssUP, which generally seeks to make UPOU programs more accessible and within reach, and UPOU Connected, which provides venue for public discussion of critical social issues, participate in social mobilization and disseminate research results and knowledge products.

Like other universities, UPOU plans to share stories and reflections about UPOU, its faculty members, students and alumni through this blog site. This way, more people will be reached and more opportunities will be created. As a relaunch blog entry, the site posted UPOU's Top Pick on ODeL Trends for 2018, which shares UPOU's pick on the top ODeL trends from the UPOU Chancellor herself, Dr. Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria, while incorporating the results of an online survey conducted among students, teachers, professionals, and e-learning experts on what they expect to see this 2018 when it comes to eLearning technology and pedagogy.

Contributions to the blog from UPOU faculty, staff members, students and alumni are welcome. All topics related to UPOU and UPOU activities are acceptable and will go through the editing and approval process of the Information Office. Multimedia elements are encouraged, including photos, audio and videos. Interested parties may send contributions to [email protected].

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the former UPOU QAO officials for their unwavering dedication, hard work, and commitment to quality and excellence. Your contributions have laid a strong foundation that continues to guide and inspire us today.
