UPOU-FMDS proudly congratulates Dr. Inocencio E. Buot, Jr. on being conferred the title Professor Emeritus by the University of the Philippines. A distinguished botanist, ecologist, and former FMDS Dean, Dr. Buot’s leadership led to major institutional reforms and pioneering academic programs, including the foundation for FMDS’s first undergraduate and doctoral degrees.![]()
His nationally awarded research on kaigangan forests has helped uncover new plant species critical to biodiversity and local livelihoods. Through scholarship, service, and science, Dr. Buot’s contributions have shaped FMDS’s identity and impact.![]()
