In its 29th year, UPOU has chosen to celebrate an inward-looking, introspective, and intimate celebration within the UPOU family. UPOU’s 29th Anniversary will be held on the 23rd of February 2024 with the theme “Unibersidad na Magkakakilala Para sa Pagkakaisa,” aptly to reinforce the team, strengthen connections with each other, unite the growing university, and prepare the next generation of UPOU workforce.

To achieve this goal, UPOU has curated a series of activities to build camaraderie and designed to bring the UPOU faculty and staff closer together. KwentOUhan is a 2-part activity that would delve deeper into the lives of the UPOU family. In the first part of the activity, the staff are grouped into batches by the year they entered the university. They will present a 10-minute presentation of their experiences when they started working at UPOU. This activity would account for a journey that shaped UPOU over the years. The second part of KwentOUhan would be a sharing of the programs by the different offices of the university.

A team spirit will take center stage with a lively sportsfest, where friendly competition will reign supreme. The program will also include the recognition of Gawad Chancellor and Service Awards to honor one another’s hard work and contribution to the university. The celebration will wrap up with a music festival featuring homegrown artists of UPOU.

This celebration is about laying the groundwork for the future as much as it is about looking back. As the grand 30th Anniversary comes close in 2025, this year’s events serve as the perfect prelude to an even more momentous milestone.
