UPOU Chancellor Joane V. Serrano and fellow faculty and staff members joined the event, which promotes science and technology, wellness, and community engagement. The fun run is part of the celebration of LBSCFI’s SyenSaya 2025, a yearly science festival that promotes the role of science and technology (S&T) in community development.

In support of this, UPOU, through the UPOU Foundation, Inc., sponsored ten participants in this year’s race.

In her closing message, Dr. Serrano, who is also a member of the LBSCFI  Board of Trustees, congratulated LBSCFI and all the race participants for the successful and meaningful race. She shared, “Thank you for keeping the spirit of science alive and for showing that collaboration and community remain at the heart of progress.”

UPOU, an active member of LBSCF and its immediate past president, continues to support the foundation’s mission to uplift lives through S&T. The university has participated in the race since its maiden run in 2023.
