Official Launch of the iUSR Office and The Unive

Official Launch of the iUSR Office and

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) officially launched the Kaohsiung Medical University’s International University Social Responsibility (iUSR) Office on 5 February 2026 at the UPOU WCMP Building in Los Baños, Laguna. The iUSR Office serves as a dedicated space to host visiting professors, students, and cultural exchange participants, and to strengthen ongoing collaboration between the two institutions. The office is part of the larger Internationalization Center of UPOU.

Asst. Prof. Remsce Pasahol, Program Development Associate for Institutional Linkages, spearheaded the activity.

The launch was graced by Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) officials from Taiwan, led by Professor Sodio C. N. Hsu, Dean of the KMU College of Life Sciences, who also presented education opportunities at KMU that are open to Filipino students and early career professionals.

It can be recalled that a similar space was also inaugurated at KMU last 9 October 2025, a symbol of the enduring partnership between the Taiwanese university and UPOU.
