The UP Information Technology Development Center (ITDC) Office of the Vice President for Development (OVPD) warns all UP constituents of reported scams impersonating University officials.
This involves the scammer sending messages/emails and pretending to be an official, to ask for money or make payments to him/her or to a third party. Said messages/emails may be very emotional and will entice you to be kind and generous.
Here’s how we can protect ourselves:
- Be extra vigilant when corresponding through email, social media, and other online platforms.
- Please do NOT entertain emails or messages pretending to be an official or those asking for money or asking for payments to him/her or to a third party.
- Do NOT provide your personal information to questionable senders.
If you encounter suspicious websites, emails, and posts on social media sites, please immediately inform [email protected].

The UPOU Center for Open and Digital Teaching and Learning, capped a month-long facilitation of the Blended Training on Open and Distance e-Learning (ODeL) Curriculum, Technical Infrastructure Management, and Program Administration for the Philippine Statistics Authority. The training which began with a focus on the Community-based monitoring system (CBMS), later drew in staff from various PSA sub-units, each bringing their own expertise, reflecting how the agency is working together to strengthen its digital learning capacity and knowledge sharing across its diverse functions. The culmination day, held on 9 September 2025 at the PSA office in Eton Centris, Quezon City, showcased the final outputs of participants who completed the comprehensive program.![]()
