Meet your newly-appointed Committee on Elections (CoE) Members!
Under Article XVII: GENERAL ELECTIONS of the Ratified UPOU Student Constitution, the CoE will serve as the electoral body for the University Student Council Elections and shall have the full authority to conduct and arbitrate elections.
The Members of the Committee of Elections are carefully selected by the search panel composed of the UP Student Regent and the UPOU Office of the Student Affairs.
In light of this, there will be a Protest Period from August 8-12, 2022. We hope for the active participation of UPOU students in the said activity. For inquiries, send us a message at [email protected].

The morning session of the second day of the 7th AAWS Congress included a hybrid Panel session that featured the topic “Queering Southeast Asia.” Panel speakers based all over the world exchanged insights on queering perspectives, intergenerational dialogues, and women’s roles in climate justice and innovation, continuing the Congress’s commitment to amplifying diverse feminist voices across the region.![]()

Parallel presentations were also held, which centered on research studies related to intergenerational perspectives on gender identity and reshaping intersectionality in Asia. ![]()

The third Plenary Session 3 on the topic “Beyond Recognition: Women’s Climate Justice and Innovation in Agriculture and Climate Ventures — Experiences from India” featuring Prof. N. Manimekalai, the Director of the India Centre for Women’s Development Studies. Prof. Manimekalai drew on experiences from India to illustrate women's collective innovation, and focused on the critical gap between women's leadership in climate resilience and their lack of formal recognition within climate policy and financial systems. Dr. Sylvia Estrada Claudio, AAWS Council Member, moderated the session. ![]()
