It’s official! Congratulations to the newly-appointed UPOU Commission on Elections Members!
After the thorough selection of members followed by the protest period last 8-12 August 2022, the Office of the Student Affairs, together with the Office of the Student Regent, would like to announce the official members of the UPOU Committee on Elections.
Under Article XVII: GENERAL ELECTIONS of the Ratified UPOU Student Constitution, the Committee on Elections shall have the full authority to conduct and arbitrate elections and will be responsible for drafting the University Election Code.

Despite the gloomy skies and light drizzle, Project LAKBAY participants still set off on a short walk to the UPOU Forest Arboretum to plant 2 Philippine native species - Saplungan Yakal and Molave. The tree planting activity is a commemorative event during the immersion camp to respond to the urgent call for urgent action in forest ecosystem restoration.![]()
By mid-morning, the sun was out just in time for OUgnayan Wednesdays! Participants returned to the UPOU Main Building where Asst. Prof. Tricia Ascan welcomed them, and Engr. Emil Climaco shared how the initiative began. The Project LAKBAY participants were able to meet and talk to our OUgnayan Wednesdays merchants: Bitbit PH, Handmade+Homemade, San Antonio Women's Brigade, SIPAG Pagsanjan - Samahan ng Industriya ng Pag-gugulayan, and Blushing Beekeeper.![]()
The first half of the day wrapped up with a tour of the FMDS Perma G.A.R.D.E.N. led by Dr. Jabez Joshua Flores and Ms. Maryjane Reondanga - offering insights into a replicable sustainable food system and green practices within the university.![]()
