The Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS), UP Open University (UPOU) welcomes its new students for 1st Semester/Trimester 2020-2021 through  a Student Orientation on 12 September 2020 (Saturday) at 2pm. The student orientation will be held online, live streamed through the FICS Facebook page. UP retains rank in top 500 world university rankings, leads in ASEAN in terms of global research influence

The University of the Philippines (UP) retains its spot in a roster of the top 500 universities of the world. According to the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE-WUR), UP remains in the 401-500 bracket, after being assessed alongside 1,527 research-intensive universities. The country’s national university maintained its overall rank despite the number of universities ranked this year increasing from last year’s 1,396.
