A webinar on how to effectively handle stress in the workplace for UP Open University (UPOU) employees was organized by the Information and Communication Technology Development Office (ICTDO) on the 19th of  January, 2023. Five faculty members and researchers represented the University of the Philippines Open University  (UPOU) in the World Learning Labs Symposium (WoLL) 2023 held at the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (KUFS) on 27-28 January 2023. The event brought together industry professionals and academics to discuss real-world case studies and contexts of post-pandemic learning environments. Two UPOU Faculty of Education (FEd) students bagged the grand prizes in the University of the Philippines (UP) System-wide gamification activity, "The Great InfoHunt 2022." Ms. Fria Shayne Nuñez, BES student, won the Apple iPad and Ms. Rich-Anne Dayo, MSSE student, won the Lenovo laptop. Women of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) harvested organic eggplants and ladies’ fingers, commonly known as “okra”, at the FMDS Perma GARDEN (Growing Appreciation toward Resilience, Development, Entrepreneurship and Nutrition) on 24 January 2023. The FMDS Perma GARDEN is an initiative of the Faculty led by Dean Joane Serrano to support sustainable production and consumption, and to contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger.
