The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) continues to serve its students and staff through knowledge sharing and inclusive learning. One of its initiatives is the FICS MeetUPs facilitated by the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS). DICT x UPOU Project named Champion at ICT World Summit 2021

The webinar program that the Department of Information and  Communication Technology (DICT) and the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU)  co-organized  was named Champion in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prizes 2021 . The project titled “Enabling Teachers on Remote Teaching and Learning in the Time of Pandemic” is one of the 90 Champions for the summit, and one of the 20 projects nominated under the Capacity-building category. UPOU Personnel undergo Advance Training on Zoom

The Multimedia Center (MC) of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) conducted an Advance Training on Zoom on 29 March 2021 for UPOU employees and contract of service staff.  The MC Director, Ms. Luisa A. Gelisan, said that UPOU has licensed Zoom accounts -- three Zoom meeting accounts and one webinar account that the different UPOU units can use.
