2021 Martial Law Wikipedia Edit-a-thon

The battle for truth is more crucial than ever, especially now that everyone relies on digital information. There have been moves towards historical revisionism and distortions of historical facts about martial law and there is a need to ensure that the information in Wikipedia are factual considering that a number of Filipino students use Wikipedia for their research.

So in partnership with the Human Rights Violations Victims’ Memorial Commission (HRVVMC) and the Bantayog ng mga Bayani Foundation, the UP Open University invites all its constituents who would be interested in becoming volunteer editors of Wikipedia. Faculty members, REPS, administrative staff members, students, alumni and UPOU partners are invited to take part in this initiative.
