The University of the Philippines Open University Institutional Research Ethics Committee (UPOU-IREC) participated in the Online Training Workshop on Ethics in Human-Participant Research on 4-7 May 2021 via Zoom. The workshop was organized by the  Philippine Social Science Council (PSSC), through its Social Science Ethics Review Board (SSERB). The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) participated in the  Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Congress 2021 on  28 to 29 April 2021 as one of the supporting partners. The University of the Philippines (UP), who takes part in the quincentennial celebration will bring to life some of the familiar persons involved that made history 500 years ago and beyond.
